Job summary

KAEFER UK & Ireland is seeking an ER Advisor to join the Nuclear & Defence Team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based at the Hinkley Point C site with occasional travel to Plymouth to support day-to-day People activities and provide onsite guidance to managers and staff.

You will deliver expert employee relations advice, support investigations, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to the regional People Plan while maintaining GDPR-compliant records and driving improvements in

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of People practices, employment law and People processes.
• Proven experience advising managers and handling Employee Relations casework from start to finish.
• Experience working alongside a Trade Union.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to influence and build relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and committing to accuracy.
• Minimum of 2-years experience as a People/HR Advisor.
• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or relevant experience.
• Full UK-Driving License (occasional travel to Plymouth Site).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR matters, including ER, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management.
• Support managers in investigations and fair resolution of employee concerns with compliance to law and policies.
• Ensure policies and practices are consistently applied and aligned with legislation.
• Contribute to the regional People Plan and processes to drive improvement.
• Maintain accurate People records in line with GDPR and company standards.
• Support embedding of performance management processes and guidance on goals, reviews and feedback.
• Collaborate with wider People Team on initiatives to strengthen engagement, wellbeing and culture.
• Support recruitment and onboarding activities as required and advise on recruitment best practice.
