Job summary

VES Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a team delivering installation, refurbishment and maintenance of ventilation plant on site. You will assist in wiring AHU components, mounting control panels and ensuring safe working practices while supporting the Lead Engineer or Supervisor.

You will review site literature, perform basic electrical testing and fault diagnosis, and engage in the mechanical build process of ventilation plant, supported by CPD accredited seminars offered by the

Responsibilities

• Assist the appointed Lead Engineer or Supervisor in site set up, material delivery and associated preparation works.
• Review site literature including Risk Assessments, Operating Procedures, Record Drawings and Work Instructions to ensure awareness of all required works.
• Assist in the field wiring of AHU components including motors, isolators, lights and speed controllers from control panel to component.
• Assist in the mounting of control panels and installation of cable and containment to components.
• Basic electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
• Assistance in the mechanical build process of ventilation plant.
• Ensure safe working environment by following and adopting safe working practices, laws and legislations.
• Engage with Lead Engineers and Supervisors to develop personal and professional skillsets within the workplace.
• Assess quality of work against VES operating procedures and engineering standards and report any failings or non-adherence.
• Report progression and completion to the appointed Lead Engineer or Supervisor.
• Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Project Manager or Lead Engineer/Supervisor.
