Job summary

VVB Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support projects from tender through design, installation, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring HSE, programme, quality and commercial compliance.

You will supervise design across disciplines, lead a team of engineers and BIM/CAD technicians, and oversee design reviews, FAT/SAT, and liaison with procurement and installations to deliver safe, buildable solutions within project constraints.

Qualifications

HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Engineering Council Registration as IEng.
CSCS Card – AQP or PQP min.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Supervise design and engineering activities across multiple disciplines, overseeing a team of engineers and BIM/CAD technicians.
Ensure HSE, programme, quality, compliance and commercial considerations are met across projects.
Review drawings for clash detection and interface problems; liaise with CAD/BIM team to ensure correct modelling.
Attend FAT/SAT to ensure compliance with requirements and maintain project programme.
Manage subcontractor works and design registers; support commercial in valuation and contract matters.
