Air Apps is seeking a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers to build scalable, reliable, and secure environments in a fully onsite office in Lisbon.

You should have 3+ years in DevOps or SRE, strong CI/CD experience, IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi, and hands-on Docker/Kubernetes. We offer relocation support and a vibrant, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Eng roles.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools listed.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Solid Linux, networking, and security practices.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Understanding of cost optimization, scalability, and HA.
• Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve infrastructure reliability.
• Establish and enforce security best practices, including identity management, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Work with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and system maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging DevOps technologies, tools, and best practices.
