Job summary

GE Vernova’s UK Centre of Excellence seeks an Automation Engineer to deliver high-quality automation installations for project testing. You will be responsible for requirement capture, design, installation, commissioning, test programme delivery and service support.

This role involves working onsite full-time for customers managing critical infrastructure, with background checks including UK SC as part of hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering or related degree.
• Experience with automation systems in critical infrastructure.
• UK security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain UK EYE's Only clearance.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and design automation systems for maintainable, extensible solutions.
• Integrate software and hardware components into a single application.
• Perform verification, validation, and commissioning per QA procedures.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, customers and suppliers.
• Provide maintenance, fault finding, upgrades and development as required.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing and commissioning per company procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and support other business areas.
