Job summary

Actemium Automation Peterborough is seeking a proactive Software Controls Systems Engineer to develop, commission and support control system software for industrial automation projects. You will work with project managers, hardware engineers and suppliers to deliver PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions that meet safety and client requirements.

You will lead on-site testing, documentation, FAT/SAT participation and continuous improvement of control libraries. A UK driving licence and travel are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in developing and commissioning control system software.
Ability to create clear functional design specifications.
Familiarity with SHEQ frameworks and safety standards.
Experience with FAT/SAT and on-site testing.

Responsibilities

Develop, commission and support PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
On-site commissioning and testing of control systems at client sites.
Create and review control system documentation and FAT/SAT tests.
Mentor junior software team members and collaborate with teams.
