Job summary

GE Vernova’s UK Centre of Excellence seeks an Automation Engineer to deliver high-quality automation installations for project testing from requirement capture through commissioning and service support.

You will work onsite, 5 days per week, collaborating across teams to ensure safe, cost-efficient, on-time delivery. Background checks including UK SC clearance may be required for government-related projects. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• UK national only and eligible for UK security clearance (SC).
• On-site role, five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and design the automation system for maintainable, reliable operation.
• Integrate software and hardware into a single application.
• Verify/validate hardware and power system tests.
• Coordinate with teams, customers and suppliers to capture requirements.
• Provide maintenance, fault finding, repairs and upgrades.
• Perform factory acceptance testing and commissioning per procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and assist other areas as needed.
• Deliver safe, cost-effective solutions on time.
