Job summary

NESFircroft is partnering with a Power, Transmission and Distribution client to source a General Site Manager for an onshore HV substation project in Necton, UK. The role is an initial 12-month contract (Outside IR35) and requires strong site-management experience on large HV substation builds with knowledge of civil, HV mechanical and electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• SMSTS or equivalent required.
• NEBOSH qualifications would be an advantage.
• Extensive site-management experience on HV substation construction.

Responsibilities

• Act as onsite Client Representative during establishment and construction of the onshore electrical substation and related works.
• Support HVDC Package Manager; manage all Client site duties under the Contract and represent the Project onsite.
• Facilitate resolution of site issues, manage risks, and produce progress/risk/decision reports for project leadership.
