Job summary

GP Solution is seeking an Onshore Substation General Site Manager to act as the onsite Client Representative during the establishment and construction phase of an onshore HV substation in Norfolk, UK. The role requires extensive HV substation site management experience and strong civil engineering knowledge.

The candidate will support the HVDC Package Manager, coordinate with multiple functions, and ensure safety, documentation, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• SMSTS or equivalent safety training is required.
• NEBOSH would be an advantage.
• Extensive site-management experience on HV substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the onsite Client Representative during construction of the Onshore Substation.
• Support the HVDC Package Manager through construction.
• Manage all Client site duties and coordinate with project functions.
• Liaise with stakeholders including National Grid and contractor senior teams.
