Job summary

Engage Talent Partners are recruiting on behalf of an Aberdeen-based client for an onshore Cable Technician to join their manufacturing team.

The role involves assembling, soldering, preparing and testing products, with experience in electrical terminations and fibre optic work. You will work from engineering drawings, maintain equipment, and enjoy an early finish on Fridays while progressing your career in a people-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in soldering and wiring connectors.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Electrical experience essential; subsea background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per engineering drawings.
• Prepare parts for termination and encapsulation.
• Perform electrical terminations and splices via soldering and mechanical methods.
• Carry out Fibre Optic terminations in line with processes.
• Mix polyurethane, polyethylene, epoxy resins.
• Interpret drawings to manufacture per specs.
• Manufacture connectors and inserts from raw components.
• Test products and accurately record results.
• Maintain machinery and equipment to proper standards.
