Job summary

Complete Talent Services Ltd is seeking an Electrical Technician for a subsea cable systems manufacturer. The role covers production, assembly, termination, moulding, and testing to meet engineering and quality specs.

Onsite, with travel to UK and overseas sites for installation, testing, and monitoring. Candidates should have experience in electrical and fibre optic terminations, soldering, and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
• IPC qualification desirable but not essential.
• Experience with soldering and cable assembly preferred.
• Fibre optic termination experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components in kit form per engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Prepare cable components for electrical termination, splicing, and encapsulation.
• Carry out electrical terminations and splicing using soldering and mechanical processes.
• Perform fibre optic terminations according to procedures and specs.
• Mix and cast polyurethane, polyethylene, and epoxy resins for moulding.
• Interpret drawings and instructions to meet specifications.
• Manufacture connectors from raw components.
• Handle and use chemicals per health and safety procedures.
• Test products and record results to ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain machinery, tools and equipment to safety standards.
• Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas when required.
