Job summary

Place Recruitment is working with an established and growing manufacturer in Worthing to recruit an experienced Cable Assembly Technician to join their production team.

You will assemble specialist cables, wiring looms and electrical assemblies, solder and terminate cables, and follow detailed drawings to meet quality standards. The role is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive package and opportunities for IPC accreditation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cable assembly, wiring or electronic assembly.
• Strong practical soldering and hand-assembly skills.
• Experience using hand tools for precision assembly work.
• The ability to understand and work from technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• A reliable, positive and professional approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble specialist cables, wiring looms and electrical assemblies.
• Strip, crimp, solder and terminate cables accurately and consistently.
• Follow technical drawings, production specifications and detailed assembly instructions.
• Inspect completed work throughout the assembly process to ensure it meets required quality standards.
• Use a range of hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient production area.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet production requirements and maintain high standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.
