Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a Part-time One-to-One Teaching Assistant at Pocklington Prep School from September 2026 on a fixed-term contract.

You will support a Year 6 pupil with an EHCP, plan and deliver learning activities with the class teacher, and monitor progress in a nurturing environment.

Applicants should have Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning, GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above), and a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally one-to-one.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver learning activities with the class teacher.
• Implement speech and language programmes and EHCP targets.
• Monitor progress and promote inclusion throughout the school day.
