Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Atherton, M46, working one-to-one with a Year 4 child. The role is long-term and temporary, with full-time hours 08:30am-15:30pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.

You will support learning, planning, and resource adaptation in a welcoming school community. The ideal candidate will have recent school experience, solid numeracy and literacy skills, and a Level 2/3 childcare or education qualification or equivalent

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a Year 4 pupil one-to-one, responding to their individual needs.
• Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources.
• Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.
