Job summary

Catering in New Milton, Hampshire is seeking an experienced SEN support worker to work one-to-one with a young person on an EHCP in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will assist the class teacher with tailored activities and monitor learning targets while supporting development across academic, social and personal areas.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
Support pupils with academic, social, emotional and personal development.
Help implement and monitor EHCPs and individual learning targets.
Encourage positive behaviour and support pupil independence and confidence.
Adapt resources and materials to meet pupil needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and parents/carers.
Support pupils with personal care requirements where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirements are met.
