Job summary

Greenwood Primary and Nursery School is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support a named pupil's physical, emotional, social and intellectual development within a warm, inclusive school community.

You will assist with personal care, daily routines and learning activities, while maintaining strong home-school communication and working under guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. This is a fixed-term post funded through additional support provision for a named child.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in personal care and activities within a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing pupils' personal care programmes during the school day, including hygiene, toileting, continence, eating and drinking.
• Provide personal support with pupils' medical conditions that may require specialist training.
• Support identified physical needs (dressing, grooming, learning equipment, PE and school visits).
• Maintain records related to personal care and communication between home and school.
• Work with the SENCO and class teacher within the school's policies and procedures.
