Job summary

Southport Centre, South West Regional Assessment Centre Limited, is hiring a Learning Support Assistant (One-to-One) to help young adults with SEND thrive and reach their ILPs. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm with a 30-minute lunch break, and may involve work at other SWRAC centres.

You will provide one-to-one support, assist in group and individual learning, act as a scribe/reader/invigilator, support travel training, accompany learners on work placements and outings, and

Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience: SEND – 2 years or more (if stated)
Ability to support learners with LDD/SEND in classroom settings

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one support as directed by the Head of Learning or class tutor
Provide learning support within a group and on an individual basis
Act as a scribe/reader/exam invigilator as required
Support learners during breaks
Contribute to learners' ILPs
Work with team to monitor and review ILP targets
Be aware of learners' risk assessments and needs
Support learners with travel training and work experience placements
Accompany learners on outings and in community activities
Keep records associated with the support role
