Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to support learners as they prepare for, move into and settle into the workplace in Wales. You will provide practical, one-to-one coaching in learning settings and on site with employers to help learners understand workplace expectations and build confidence.

Responsibilities include developing employability skills, preparing learners for work placements, liaising with employers, setting goals and tracking progress while maintaining accurate

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or adults in an education, training, care or community setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach.
• A genuine commitment to helping learners progress into work.
• Desirable: experience of supported employment or working with learners with additional needs (optional)

Responsibilities

• Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis to develop employability and workplace skills.
• Preparing learners for work placements and supporting them during their time with employers.
• Working with employers to ensure placements are suitable and well supported.
• Setting goals with learners and reviewing their progress towards them.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive working habits.
• Maintaining accurate records of support provided and progress made.
