Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide one-to-one support.
• Assist with communication using sign board and Makaton.
• Full training provided, including administration of epilepsy seizure medication.
• Assist with personal care (including nappies).
• Driver preferred but not essential: access to mobility car will be provided for transporting the child.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, one-to-one support.
• Supporting communication using sign board and Makaton.
• Assisting with personal care (including nappy changes).
• Encouraging and supporting eating.
• Taking the child out on enjoyable days out and activities.
• Supporting access to hobbies such as swimming and other leisure activities.
• Using a pram to assist with mobility when required.
