Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

You will play an important role in daily store operations, constantly seeking ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers.

You will be Responsible For

• Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
• Encouraging customer feedback via surveys.
• Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
• Practicing safety training and procedures.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
• Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.

• Clocking in and out accurately for correct payment.
• Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
• Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.

• Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
• Following all safety and legal training.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day operations, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
