Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a capable doctor with GMC registration and MRCP or MRCGP qualifications to join the Oncology team as a Specialty Doctor. The post involves maintaining continuity of care for in-patients on the Oncology Ward and providing rapid reviews for patients presenting to the Triage Unit with cancer-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Capable, enthusiastic doctor with full GMC registration and MRCP or MRCGP qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in oncology, primary care or related specialties is desirable.
• Keen to develop a career in oncology as a Specialty Doctor.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of care for in-patients on the Oncology Ward.
• Provide rapid review of patients presenting via the Oncology Triage Unit with cancer symptoms or treatment-related issues.
• Ensure delivery of excellent Oncology care by collaborating with Trust outreach Oncology Services.
• Work with the ward FY3 doctor to maintain continuity of care for ward patients.
