Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician to lead the Oncology homecare team across Basildon and Southend, with weekend shifts on a rota basis. The post emphasises patient safety, medicines management and education within a busy NHS setting.

The role requires ACT qualification or progress, NHS leadership credentials, and Medicines Management qualification, along with strong organisational skills and team leadership.

Competenze

• Qualified ACT (nationally recognised qualification) or significant progress towards qualification.
• NHS leadership qualification
• Medicines Management Qualification (CMMPT or equivalent)

Mansioni

• Manage the staff within the oncology service to optimise workflow and patient experience.
• Manage the day-to-day work within the oncology service to minimise financial loss.
• Managing monthly KPI's
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships
• Undertake monthly review meetings
• Make enquiries with suppliers
• Liaise with doctors and nurses regarding authorisation and discrepancies with patients' medication to improve patient safety
• Provide advice to patients regarding their medication
• Support other services within the pharmacy department including dispensary, procurement, ward technician services and trials
