Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Specialist Oncology Dietitian for a 12-month fixed-term or secondment. You will join a large dietetic department that supports student placements, audits, training and education at a world-class cancer centre.

You will rotate through head and neck and acute oncology services, gaining experience across chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy, including proton beam therapy.

Qualifications

• Recent acute oncology experience required.
• Advanced nutritional support skills including enteral feeding; parenteral feeding preferred.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Experience in education/training or supervision of learners.

Responsibilities

• Administer nutritional care and manage patients’ needs within a rotational team.
• Independently plan, prioritise and coordinate clinical demands daily.
• Provide education and training to medical staff, nursing staff and other professionals.
• Support the service and contribute to the department’s annual objectives.
• Supervise and mentor learner dietitians.
