Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is inviting applications for a Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at its Withington site. The post supports a 24-strong consultant team, SAS doctors, fellows and trainees within an integrated oncology critical care service.

Applicants should have completed Foundation programmes (or equivalent) and ideally have experience in emergency medicine, surgery or anaesthesia at core level. A GMC licence to practise is required at start.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Foundation programmes (or equivalent).
• Experience of emergency medicine, surgery or anaesthesia training at core level preferred.
• GMC Licence to Practice; Full Registration required at time of commencement.
• Role provides resident OCCU medical rota.
• The Christie is an international cancer centre; opportunities for learning and teaching may be provided according to career aspirations.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident medical cover for the Oncological Critical Care Unit (OCCU) as part of a Consultant-led team.
• Support Cardiac Arrest, Outreach and Acute Pain Teams under supervision of a consultant.
• Contribute to safe and timely decision making and continuity of care for oncology patients across 7 days.
