Job summary

Searchandselect is seeking a Financial Crime Team Leader to join our client’s Onboarding and Risk Office in the UK. You will manage new client onboarding, perform risk assessments, and lead enhanced due diligence for higher-risk and PEP relationships, while supporting FATCA/CRS obligations and ongoing monitoring.

You will liaise with intermediaries and Relationship Managers to obtain required information, identify data gaps, and drive improvements in risk controls and client experience.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of account opening, KYC/CDD and risk review procedures.
• Understanding of corporate client structures for due diligence and compliance.
• Knowledge of FATCA and CRS requirements.
• Experience conducting enhanced due diligence for higher-risk clients, including PEPs.
• Ability to work independently and manage regulatory priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding workflows and ensure compliant client applications.
• Carry out risk assessments, screening and due diligence checks.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers for information and clarifications.
• Review trigger events and update client information and risk assessments.
• Perform enhanced CDD for higher-risk and PEP relationships.
• Support FATCA and CRS classification and reviews.
• Monitor overnight screening results and update as needed.
• Process data changes and account amendments with accuracy.
• Contribute to process improvements across onboarding and maintenance.
• Support change initiatives within the team.
