Job summary

AC Technical Services Ltd is seeking a full-time Trainee to join the on-site team in Farnborough. You will support experienced colleagues with daily technical tasks, including maintenance and commissioning, while shadowing senior staff and learning practical skills.

You will develop your abilities in a hands-on environment, maintain safety and documentation, and contribute to a culture of reliable service and quality workmanship. Occasional nationwide travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop practical technical skills under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills; ability to complete simple documentation accurately.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Interest in technical, engineering, or maintenance work; prior hands-on experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced team members with day-to-day technical tasks.
• Assist with maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare tools and materials and follow safety procedures.
• Document work carried out and keep records up to date.
• Keep work areas organized and compliant and travel nationally for assignments when required.
