Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of a leading tier-one contractor to manage civil engineering operations on a major electrical substation scheme in North Wales. Immediate start and long-term assignment up to two years, with responsibility for site safety, subcontractor delivery, and daily civils execution.

You will direct civil teams and specialist subcontractors, oversee groundworks, RC structures, cable ducts, and site access infrastructure while ensuring RAMS and client

Qualifications

• Must hold National Grid competencies (NG Person / BAF / TP137 or equivalent).
• Proven civil engineering site management background on heavy substation or energy schemes.
• Valid CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Directing daily site activities, workforce management, and subcontractor delivery to keep the short-term lookahead schedule on track.
• Overseeing groundworks, heavy foundations, RC structures, cable ducts, and site access infrastructure.
• Enforcing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, leading daily briefings and RAMS compliance.
• Coordinating specialist supply chain partners, managing site logistics, and maintaining daily production quality.
• Maintaining accurate daily site diaries, tracking scope changes, and acting as the main contractor on site.
