Job summary

Nottingham City Council is recruiting for a Peri Cleaner in Charge to lead the school cleaning team on-site across various city schools. The role includes supervising staff, ordering stock, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.

You will monitor attendance, provide training, and coordinate cover as needed, often working 20 hours per week with flexible shifts, and using your own vehicle for site access.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising cleaning staff and ensuring service standards.
• Ability to monitor attendance and arrange cover when needed.
• Experience with stock control and ordering for facilities services.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school cleaning team on site and ensure materials and equipment are available.
• Monitor cleaning standards across schools and provide training/support to staff.
• Manage attendance, cover requirements and stock levels to deliver the service.
• Communicate with on-site staff and FM Team Leaders to maintain high service delivery.
