Job summary

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) seeks a Safety Centre Instructor for the Bury Safety Centre. The role involves delivering life‑saving safety messages in an immersive environment to diverse audiences, including school groups and community members.

You will train with colleagues and volunteers to deliver messages about fire, road, water, and anti‑social behaviour, and participate in seasonal GM campaigns, community events and open days.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for diverse audiences.
• Experience delivering educational safety packages to reduce risk for vulnerable groups.
• Ability to manage conflicting demands and maintain partnerships with schools and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety messages about fire, road, water, and anti-social behaviour to varied groups.
• Collaborate with schools, volunteers and colleagues to plan engaging educational sessions.
