Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Maintenance Operative to support the day-to-day running of a high quality residential building in Manchester. This is a hands-on role for someone with a solid general maintenance/handyman background who takes pride in keeping the building safe, presentable and working properly for residents and staff.

You will perform general repairs across plumbing, joinery and basic electrical work, undertake planned checks, diagnose faults and coordinate with contractors as

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, residential or building services.
• Good fault finding and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise urgent repairs.
• Strong understanding of health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Completing general repairs across plumbing, joinery, basic electrical work, fixtures and fittings.
• Responding to maintenance requests raised by and the site team.
• Carrying out planned building checks and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing faults and completing first time repairs wherever possible.
• Escalating specialist or larger works to the regional technical team.
• Coordinating with contractors attending the building.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works and outstanding actions.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and with minimal disruption to residents.
