Job summary

Amazon Preston is seeking an on-site Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding Health and Safety best practices.

You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, respond quickly to machinery issues, and support on-site apprentices while contributing to continuous improvement across EU sites. Shifts ensure 24/7 site support to sustain the speed of Amazon's delivery network.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ/IVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
• Relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
• Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
• Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices.
• Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites.
