Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Quality Manager/Quality Engineer for a site-based role on a major London project. You will oversee the inspection of structural steel erection, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications and quality records to support a first-time-right handover.

Ideal candidates hold CSWIP 3.1, CSNSG and have 3+ years in structural steel QA. The position offers hotel accommodation, an 11-day fortnight and a roughly 3-month contract starting 7 September 2026.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector is required.
• CSNSG Card is required.
• Minimum 3 years' structural steel inspection / QA experience.
• Experience with on-site steel erection and measurement records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel erection against drawings, specs and ITPs.
• Manage QCPs, ITPs, inspection notifications and hold points.
• Verify steel alignment, levels, plumbness and tolerances.
• Inspect bolted connections and maintain records.
• Manage NCRs and quality issues through to close-out.
• Build the quality trail and handover dossiers.
