Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to safeguard zero-defect, audit-ready installations across Heathrow project sites. You will validate benchmark mock-ups, conduct inspections, review tests and ensure complete documentation for client approvals.

The role requires hands-on expertise in mechatronics or electrical engineering, strong drawing interpretation, and the ability to escalate non-conformities to project leadership when needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3+ in electrical or mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years of live operational environment experience.
• Strong drawing interpretation skills with hands-on installation/commissioning quality focus.
• Experience with ISO 9001 auditing and electrical inspection/testing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote safety-first culture on site.
• Validate installations meet design standards and customer requirements.
• Audit As-Built documentation and defect lists.
• Identify non-conformities and perform root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement in project delivery and installer performance.
