Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead on-site QA across Heathrow projects. The role focuses on zero-defect installations, from installation through pre-commissioning and handover, with a strong emphasis on audit readiness and client satisfaction.

You will interpret complex drawings, manage non-conformities, and drive corrective actions while coordinating with clients, consultants, and site teams. This is a hands-on, proactive position in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a live operational environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and design documentation.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits and managing defect/snaging processes.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, installation standards and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with quality standards, documentation protocols and installation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as the quality gatekeeper, ensuring installations meet approved designs and standards.
• Verify tests and checklists are completed and that installations are snag-free.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation for client and consultant approvals.
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Support pre-commissioning and readiness for functional commissioning; ensure on-time delivery and zero defects.
