Job summary

Amey is offering a permanent Plumber position at HMP Swansea. The role operates on a 39-hour week (8-5 Mon-Thu, 8-4 Fri) with a 1 in 3 weekend rota and a 15% weekend allowance.

The base salary ranges from £30,866 to £36,135 depending on experience, set within a facilities management context for MoJ/HMPPS. You will perform routine and non-routine maintenance, mains water repairs, fault finding, inspections, water sampling and risk assessment, plus other duties as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Experience in operating light plant.
• Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding: Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Skills

Experience in operating light plant

Legionella awareness and compliance

Education
