Job summary

Amey is seeking an on-site Facilities Manager to join our Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) contract in Hinkley. The role oversees day-to-day estate operations, safety compliance, and on-site leadership for a multi-disciplinary team.

Standard hours are 40 per week, Monday to Thursday, with a focus on delivering high-quality facilities services, managing budgets, and supporting environmental and zero-carbon initiatives within a regulated, high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Facilities Management role within regulated or complex environments.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Construction certification.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and policy implementation.
• Experience with CAFM/EAM systems (e.g., Concept or Maximo).
• Strong budgeting, cost control and KPI focus.
• First-line people management and contractor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the estate on behalf of the client.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and enforce safe working practices.
• Lead service delivery, audits, and KPI monitoring.
• Manage teams and relationships to deliver high-quality services.
• Control budgets and support additional works.
• Support with project opportunities above £25K.
• Undertake radiological and environmental training as required.
