Job summary

EDF Energy in Scotland seeks a Nuclear Engineering Industrial Placement to work on electrical and mechanical systems within the Fuel Route Dept. The 12-month placement offers £26,050 starting salary and on-site work at Torness Power Station.

You'll receive customised training, hands-on experience, mentoring from skilled professionals, and exposure to plant operations, safety case principles, and team-based project work.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve or already have a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Control & Instrumentation.
• Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship may be possible but priority given to those with the right to work in the UK.
• Security Vetting may require UK residence for at least three of the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems in a Nuclear Power Plant.
• Learn engineering and safety case principles to perform work on plant operations.
• Develop teamwork, problem solving and use of human performance tools in a multi-disciplinary environment.
