Job summary

Reeve is seeking a multi-skilled, foot-mobile engineer with a mechanical background to perform first assessments on site, carry out repairs or recommend specialists, take pressure/temperature readings, isolate faults and replace components. You will also handle small pipework changes and basic carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities include site inspections, reporting major repairs, and supporting the operations team, with contractors on-site to ensure work meets standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance or construction.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Basic maths skills.
• As an expert problem solver, you can think outside the box to find solutions.
• Good communication and professional presentation when with clients.
• Well-organised with strong attention to detail.
• Health and safety awareness to spot problems early.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first assessments on site and repairs or recommend specialists.
• Take pressure and temperature readings and isolate fault type (mechanical, controls or electrical).
• Replace components like tap cartridges, valves, actuators, TRVs and small pipework changes.
• Perform site inspections and report major repair needs.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure works meet standards.
