Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd in Wrexham is seeking a General Builder to join our on-site team. You will lead on multi-skilled construction tasks across restoration projects, ensuring work finishes to high standards and on schedule.

You will operate site equipment including mini diggers and dumpers, travel to different sites, and collaborate with project managers to deliver safe, quality outcomes for insurance and environmental restoration clients.

Qualifications

Construction professional with multi-skilled experience capable of taking charge and inspiring others.
Strong organisational and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities effectively.
Clean driving licence and readiness to hit the road.
Willingness to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.
Ability to drive a mini digger/dumper (essential).

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate teams on-site to deliver projects efficiently and to high standards.
Apply multi-skilled construction expertise across bricklaying, underpinning, concreting, drainage, and more.
Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers.
Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties.
Use tools from demolition hammers to jigsaws, with emphasis on safety PPE and HAVS controls.
Travel to project sites and work closely with Project Managers.
