Job summary

Terberg DTS is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to travel to customer sites across the UK, diagnose faults, and repair specialist vehicles to manufacturer standards. You will provide on-site diagnostics, servicing and first-class technical support, while maintaining safety and quality at all times.

You'll join a team that values hands-on problem solving, continuous training, and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, particularly in auto-electrics.
• Experience working on HGVs, plant machinery, specialist vehicles, or similar equipment.
• Confidence using modern diagnostic systems.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Terberg and specialist vehicles at customer locations.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out inspections and identifying wear, damage, and potential failures.
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.
• Producing accurate service reports and repair recommendations.
• Managing van stock and ensuring parts are available when needed.
• Building strong relationships with customers through excellent service.
• Working independently while maintaining the highest safety standards.
• Participating in ongoing training and development to grow your skills.
