Job summary

Terberg DTS in Daventry is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to service, diagnose, repair and inspect Terberg and specialist vehicles at customer sites. You will travel to customer locations, use modern diagnostic equipment, and deliver first-class technical support while upholding safety standards.

The role offers hands-on work, independence, ongoing training, and the chance to build strong customer relationships across our UK network.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, particularly in auto-electrics.
• Experience on HGVs, plant machinery, specialist vehicles, or similar equipment.
• Confidence using modern diagnostic systems.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Terberg vehicles at customer locations.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out inspections and identifying wear, damage, and potential failures.
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.
• Producing accurate service reports and repair recommendations.
• Managing van stock and ensuring parts availability.
• Building strong relationships with customers through excellent service.
• Working independently while maintaining safety standards.
• Participating in ongoing training and development.
