Job summary

ACS Business Performance Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a precision engineering team in Johnstone, Scotland. You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes for high-quality components, produce offline CNC programs, and work closely with Production and Quality to drive operational excellence.

The role requires strong CAM programming, multi-axis milling/turning, reading drawings, and experience with Fanuc/HAAS controls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining environment.
• Strong offline CNC programming experience using CAM software (Mastercam advantageous).
• Experience programming multi-axis CNC milling and turning machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, 3D models and customer specifications.
• Experience using Fanuc and HAAS CNC controls.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Produce offline CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning using CAM software.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods to increase productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Create manufacturing work packs and detailed operator instructions.
• Support production in achieving manufacturing schedules and delivery targets.
• Optimise tooling, workholding and machining strategies.
• Manage the introduction of new components into production.
• Investigate manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across Engineering and Quality.
• Coordinate machine maintenance activities to maximise equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and internal procedures.
