Job summary

ACS Performance in Johnstone, Scotland is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in CNC programming and precision machining to support high-quality components for demanding sectors. The role is based on-site in Johnstone and offers a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary.

You will develop offline CNC programs, improve manufacturing methods, create work packs and operator instructions, and support production schedules while optimising tooling and processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining environment.
  • Strong offline CNC programming experience using CAM software (Mastercam experience advantageous).
  • Experience programming multi-axis CNC milling and turning.
  • Good knowledge of 3 Axis, 3+2 Axis and 5 Axis machining.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and customer specifications.
  • Experience using Fanuc and HAAS CNC controls.
  • A strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing best practice.
  • Experience machining exotic materials in highly regulated or precision engineering industries.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.

Manufacturing Engineer - Precision Engineering

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for CNC programming, process improvement and precision machining?

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing precision engineering business that supplies complex, high-quality components to demanding industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing environment where continuous improvement, innovation and technical expertise are highly valued.

Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in developing and optimising manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction and driving operational excellence across the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining environment.
