Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Community team in delivering high-quality repairs, planned and unplanned works, and statutory compliance across building fabric and mechanical/electrical systems in a residential property.

You will inspect faults, undertake day-to-day repairs, manage safety records, supervise contractors, and ensure resident satisfaction while maintaining budget and stock levels.

Qualifications

• General education to GCSE level or equivalent with demonstrable written and numerical skills.
• Awareness of H&S requirements on site.
• Continual improvement of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Community team to maintain high cleanliness levels across the community.
• Communicates effectively with residents, clients and colleagues about maintenance issues.
• Monitors and maintains the Onesite system to ensure timely task completion.
• Provides regular updates to residents regarding ongoing or delayed maintenance issues.
• Administers property maintenance records in line with Greystar policies.
• Manages stock levels and forward planning for spares and tools.
• Carries out repairs across plumbing, carpentry, decorating and lighting; supervises contractor repairs to completion.
• Ensures annual checks for safety, insurance, and qualifications.
