The Farndon Unit in Newark, part of Elysium Healthcare, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help create a safe, well-presented environment for residents and staff. The role covers maintenance tasks, gardening, audits, and contractor liaison to uphold the service.

You will work with an established team, participate in an on-call rota for emergencies, and receive training to support your career growth within a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Good DIY skills to ensure safety of residents.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service buildings, facilities and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Assist with gardening and regular checks to identify faults.
• Liaise with contractors to support upkeep and repairs.
• Attend training and join a rota for emergency maintenance.
