Job summary

Talentmark are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis until the end of 2026. This role is fully site-based in Reading.

You will efficiently administer samples for analysis, maintain chain-of-custody, input results and liaise with clients, and perform basic pharmacopoeial analysis under supervision while handling lab admin and equipment tasks.

Qualifications

• Relevant scientific degree (chemistry preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Ability to work in a team and alone with guidance from seniors.
• Good time management and prioritisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently administer samples for analysis by creating records, assigning tests and allocating samples.
• Maintain chain-of-custody for controlled samples.
• Input results and liaise with clients.
• Perform basic routine pharmacopoeial analysis using aseptic technique under supervision.
• Perform lab admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Operate basic lab equipment as directed.
