Job summary

Cornwall Council is recruiting an Infrastructure Inspector / Assistant Infrastructure Inspector for the Estates Adoption Team. The role focuses on on-site checks of road and footway works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and council details, with collaboration from Adoption Engineers.

Based in Cornwall and travelling to sites across the area, you will discuss findings with developers, document results, and help resolve issues to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in road construction on site preferred, but willingness to learn.Based in Cornwall.Van provided for the role.

Responsibilities

• Visiting sites in your area and talking to the developers and their contractors.
• Inspecting their works and checking materials being used.
• Recording your findings.
• Reviewing test results.
• Identifying any problems and agreeing solutions with the Adoption Engineers and developers.
