Job summary

ManpowerGroup (UK) is seeking a Quality Control Engineer / Clerk of Works / Inspector to join a major infrastructure programme in Plymouth. The role focuses on providing quality oversight across civil, mechanical, electrical, welding and fabrication activities, ensuring works meet client, regulatory and project requirements.

12 months FTC (Inside IR35) and salary up to £58,300 DOE. You will monitor defects, verify compliance with specifications, prepare quality reports and participate in audits,

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quality inspection or quality control on projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection processes.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Experience across civil, mechanical, electrical, welding or fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor defects and rectification activities, ensure NCRs are raised, tracked and closed out.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, works information and client requirements.
  • Prepare and contribute to quality reports and inspection records.
  • Conduct on-site quality inspections and surveillance activities.
  • Support off-site inspections of suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Witness inspections, testing activities and review documentation.
  • Ensure ITPs are implemented and maintained.
  • Support FATs, SATs and acceptance testing activities.
  • Assist in compilation and review of Lifetime Quality Records.
