Job summary

WH Scott Group is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle on-site at Erith or Wickwar, with regular travel to other UK locations. You will partner with Talent Acquisition, lead onboarding, and provide on-site HR support across multiple sites.

You will specialise in employee relations, policy work, payroll-related activities, and GDPR-compliant records management, while contributing to wellbeing, inclusion and development programmes.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or currently working towards.
• 2–5 years' experience in a generalist HR role in the UK.
• Willingness to work on-site 5 days a week with monthly travel to other UK sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for employee queries on policies, benefits and HR matters.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment, job sign-off, interviews and candidate experience.
• Lead onboarding and induction for new starters, ensuring a smooth first-90-days experience.
• Provide on-site HR support across base location and monthly rotations to other UK sites.
• Support line managers with employee relations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance issues.
• Maintain accurate HR records and GDPR-compliant data on the HRIS.
• Assist with annual salary benchmarking, pay reviews, and performance review cycles.
• Draft and update HR policies and employee handbooks in line with legislation.
• Coordinate learning and development activities and track completion.
• Prepare HR metrics for senior leadership and contribute to wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
