Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is helping a Surrey manufacturing site appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to drive safety standards on the shop floor. You will be hands-on, visible to staff and collaborate with site leadership to maintain a safe, compliant workplace.

The role focuses on delivering the safety plan, conducting inspections, coaching managers, and leading risk assessments and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on health & safety experience in manufacturing or fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to deliver inductions and toolbox talks; coach managers and staff.
• Experience leading risk assessments and incident investigations to closure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and drive the site Health & Safety plan in collaboration with management.
• Carry out inspections, safety walkarounds and risk/COSHH assessments.
• Support training records, inductions, toolbox talks and supervisor coaching.
• Manage accident/incident reporting, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support audits, contractor safety, statutory assessments and environmental improvement activities.
